The KANTIKO Quartet is a Vienna-based string quartet founded by musicians of the Richard Wagner Conservatory. It performs in the current line-up with CARLOS GANDARA (violin), ALEKSANDAR IVANOV (violin), YAN LI (viola) and NAMDAR MAJIDI (violoncello).
The KANTIKO Quartet relies on proven classic and tradition in the selection of works with conscious promotion of contemporary music. For this reason, it regularly plays works by well-known and lesser-known contemporary composers. As an innovative string quartet it is important for the Kantiko Quartet to foster cooperation with multimedia theater, ballet and world musicians with high-quality projects and artists. Style, interpretation and technical perfection coupled with artistic expressiveness are top priorities at the Kantiko Quartet.
